GenoLogics was founded in 2002 by James DeGreef, initially to serve the proteomics market. The company began developing its first LIMS in 2002, delivered its first genomics LIMS in 2007 and released its first LIMS for next-generation sequencing (NGS) in 2009. GenoLogics’ genomics expertise and first-hand experience with multiple implementations make the company uniquely qualified to lead the market from early to mainstream LIMS adoption in next-generation genomics labs.

The company has forged strong partnerships and customer relationships with leading academic institutions, research institutes, and sequencing instrumentation companies worldwide. GenoLogics’ customers include University of Washington, University of Southern California, the National Cancer Institute, Jackson Laboratory, Queensland Center for Medical Genomics, Pfizer, Sanofi Aventis, Stanford University, and EdgeBio.

GenoLogics has also developed strategic partnerships within the genomics industry, enabling it to better understand customer demands and to closely integrate its technology with leading instrumentation platforms. Its key instrument partners are Illumina and Life Technologies.

As a ‘preferred’ Illumina partner since 2008, GenoLogics has developed a deep technical understanding of the Illumina sequencing instruments and stays on top of new product developments to provide timely and seamless instrument integrations to its customers. More recently, in February 2011, the Company signed a co-selling relationship with Illumina. GenoLogics also has a close partnership with Life Technologies. The company works proactively with the Life Technologies’ technical team to deepen its product understanding, which results in improved instrument integrations.

GenoLogics also partners with leading genomics instrument and software tools vendors, to create interfaces that will ensure its customers’ implementations are successful and that they are rapidly deployed.
