The VIATeC Human Resources Peer Round Table provides an opportunity for seasoned Human Resources Professionals working in local high-technology companies to network and share ideas, information and expertise in a collegial and confidential forum. Lively presentations and discussions ensue around current and emergent HR topics of interest, identified and suggested by members. A diverse (and growing) range of industries are represented at the table, including: Software; Manufacturing; IT; Biotechnology & Life Sciences; Power Monitoring & Control; Marine Research and many more.

The Table is ideally suited to HR Professionals (Managers, Specialists and Generalists) who possess years of practical experience/training and are able to participate and contribute at a strategic level.

VIATeC Round Table Vision

Supporting a well-chosen group of technology industry professionals is VIATeC’s vision for the Round Tables. Our mandate is to support the fostering and growth of the technology industry; ensuring that tech industry professionals are the sole focus of the round tables is in line with our mandate. We encourage the Round Table participants to identify their key areas of interest annually and welcome them to invite guest speakers to address these topics. This allows the group to learn from other industries but maintains the focus on tech companies.

The Round Tables are formed at the request of members. Keeping the round table size manageable and the participants consistent increases trust between the members so that valuable peer sharing can occur. Screening participants so members have a high level of expertise increases the value of the information that is shared and ensures this is truly a gathering of peers.
