WalMart Saves the World

I read the article, and my first and only real thought was, "Well, it's better than nothing."

It almost seems like the punchline of a bad joke when a company that sells garbage to cheapskates wants to be sustainable. There is nothing sustainable about selling wall-to-wall products destined for the landfill. Some energy efficient lightbulbs won't help, for example, with helping plastic products from taking less than a thousand years to decompose.
