Visionary Solutions and NetroMedia to Introduce New End-to-End Webcasting Solution at NAB 2010

Visionary Solutions, a leading ipTV hardware manufacturer has partnered with NetroMedia, a global streaming provider and CDN to create VSiCaster™, an innovative streaming hardware solution - designed for portability and ease-of-use, and backed by a global fail-safe distribution network.

VSiCaster can turn video from traditional television sources into full-screen, full resolution IP digital video in real time. The unit will instantly connect with NetroMedia's delivery network to broadcast a single or multiple video streams online, reaching PCs, MACs, hand-held devices and even Set-Top boxes.

Simple setup allows online broadcasters to start streaming live on-location in minutes. Setup requires merely plugging a video source such as an ENG camera directly into VSiCaster and connecting the unit to an internet-enabled network. Streaming begins upon connection.

This ground-breaking product features state-of-the-art h.264 MPEG-4 AVC compression and supports high-quality bit-rates of up to 4mbps, with AAC or MPEG-1 Layer 2 audio compression. Optimized transmission technology provides a video image at full frame rates and D1 resolution, as well as reduced resolutions and profiles for mobile applications.

VSiCaster is built upon Visionary Solutions' highly reliable AVN420 audio/video encoder 'blade' and the MPP200 chassis, a high density rack mount system. It is configurable as a one or two-channel unit.

Visionary Solutions and NetroMedia will showcase VSiCaster at the 2010 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nevada (booth #SU5902), between April 12th - 15th.
