Creation of Synetic Linux Solution Division

We are pleased to announce the creation of Synetic Linux Solution Division (SLSD@Synetic.Ca). This newly established technical division will provide advanced Linux services, support, consultation, implementation and training. Synetic clients can now have access to Mr. Kevin Battersby and Mr. Michael Menu two of the best professional Linux engineers with years of experience and practical work with variety of Linux distributions and their applications in different area of information technology.

Both Kevin and Michael will also participate in ongoing Linux based R&D (Research & Development) projects and activities to discover cost-saving, practical and reliable solutions for Synetic clients using different Linux distributions and platforms. They also will be fully trained and certified to deal with Synetic's IPSAN/iSCSI gears implementing complex Linux storage solutions such as; clustering, virtualization, disaster recovery, storage security and etc.

As part of their mandate, they will expand and find new ways to do things with different servers and storage equipment and will make sure to provide great return of investment and TCO for Synetic clients, resellers and partner. We are excited about their cooperation with us and we know they will soon become great assets for Synetic and our clients at all levels.

Kevin

comes to us with 35 years of varied experience in information and related technologies, business and project management to the Linux solutions division. Since 1994 Kevin has been crafting Linux solutions for a variety of applications. Additionally Kevin brings significant experience designing and implementing local and wide area IP networks, managing complex projects and the infrastructure involved with these complex projects.
During the past 10 years Kevin has used Synetic storage technologies in combination with Linux and other
operating systems for a number of projects. His varied and extensive experience will be of great value in the creation and provision of new solutions using Linux and other open source solutions in combination with Synetic's proven storage and server technologies.

Mike

has been part of the Victoria IT scene for the better part of the past 20 years. He has been consulting for both government and private industry, and has been involved in managing the varied IT infrastructures of a host of clients, from database design and administration, to complete systems design, development and implementation.
Michael loves all of technology, and relishes the challenge of integrating disparate OS' and platforms. However, he has a particular passion for open source solutions such as Linux and Java. His main interest, it can be said, is that he loves to solve problems. He believes that there are always at least two solutions to every problem, and he invites the challenge of finding them.
Mike has been a Synetic consultant partners for over 3 years and has plan to continue his IT career in partnership with Synetic Linux Solution Division for the years to come.
