ROYAL FLUSH! Atomic DEALS UP A GREAT NEW WEBSITE

Here at Atomic, we are always pretty flush with excitement when we have a new project about to go live. And now we really do have a reason to give ourselves a hand: We have re-designed the website for the Town of View Royal!

View Royal is a growing community of approximately 8,000 people, located within the Greater Victoria area at the southern tip of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It is a community with a friendly, village ambiance and convenient access to all of Victoria's urban amenities. Spectacular waterfront views, nature parks and trails, pedestrian and cyclist-friendly neighbourhoods - it's all there in View Royal.

Selected to work on this project in early 2009, we have really upped the ante with this terrific new site. We have created a hot new design that mingles a great new look with the Town's branding, while showing off terrific views of the Town. We also migrated all content from their existing site and integrated all of their current, robust applications. As well, we provided View Royal with our kingly content management system, ElementCMS, along with a full training session on how to use the system. This CMS allows the Town to easily and quickly update the website themselves. We also set up a writing workshop for the Town so they can ensure their website in concise, readable and informative for the clients.

We have also raised the stakes and added a wealth of functionality to the new site, with RSS feeds, a customized Bylaw search, live weather updates, a Forms & Documents search and advanced accessibility options, including high-contrast and mobile device layouts.
