Invest Southwest Capital Conference - Invitation to Apply
Canadian companies are invited to apply to present to an audience of hundreds of US venture investors, entrepreneurs and service professionals at the Annual Invest Southwest, Capital Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, November 2 – 4, 2011.
This year Invest Southwest and the Venture Capital Conference in the Rockies (VCIR) are partnering together to form the premier capital conference in the Southwest. The event connects the region’s most promising ventures with knowledgeable investors. Presenting companies at Invest Southwest have received more than a quarter billion in investment dollars since inception of the conference in 1992 and companies that have presented at VCIR over the past 10 years have collectively generated nearly $5 billion in exit value for their stakeholders.
Over the past couple of years our office has developed a relationship with the Invest Southwest Executive Committee which has welcomed Canadian Companies to apply to present. Last year CogniVue Corporation, QC was selected to present and in 2009 Winnipeg's, Blue Diamond Technologies, LTD was selected for their Recycle Jet Technology.
Companies wishing to present at the November 2 - 4, 2011 Invest Southwest Conference, should be seeking to raise $1M to $10 M dollars. It is FREE to apply. If your company is selected to present, the Consulate of Canada, Phoenix will provide airfare for 1 company representative to travel to the conference. All applicants receive written feed back on their application from a selection panel of US investors. Companies selected to present will receive coaching from a mentoring team of local investors and industry experts in preparation for your "pitch". This coaching can be done via video conference.
