Discover Tectoria Exhibitor List is Proving to be Impressive
Victoria, BC - The VIATeC team has been very busy planning Discover Tectoria and signing up companies for booths and sponsorships over the past few weeks. With a VIP Reception and Annual Christmas Party taking place on the same day as the showcase, the planning details have been very exciting!
Previously known as "Island Tech", this biennial event consistently draws as many as 3,500 attendees. Funded in part by the Government of Canada's Youth Awareness Initiative, this year we've rented DOZENS of buses to bring high school and post-secondary students to the event, drawing even more spectators.
This important event continues to raise awareness of the overall sector and the individual companies within it, and plays a key role in the added attention and recognition the local tech sector has started to enjoy. This awareness is crucial when attracting new staff and investors, while also ensuring that policy makers at every level appreciate the economic impact and importance of the local innovation economy.
