Barrodale Computing Services granted US patent for database adapter

Victoria, British Columbia – December 14, 2011 - Barrodale Computing Services Ltd. (BCS), a provider of advanced software solutions since 1978, today announced that it has been granted Patent No. 8077059 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for a database adapter that incorporates improved methods for storing and retrieving relational data. This invention combines the concepts of nested tables with fast, lossless, column compression techniques, and the resulting plug-in product DBXten provides for more compact storage, faster loads and quicker queries for a wide class of problems.
