Stay Connected
We want to help you stay in the loop but we know everybody likes to get info in different ways so consider us the Baskin Robbins of information about Greater Victoria's tech sector.
Choose your flavour(s):
- eBulletin: subscribe and once a week you will get an email summary of news postings from the last week, upcoming events and current job postings.
- eNewsletter: subscribe to get our monthly eNewsletter. It will profile a member or two, provide a few stories and tell you about major events coming up. Yeah, this is old school but people like it and we aim to please.
- RSS Feeds: so you like the Real Simple Syndication do ya? We have enough feeds to stuff an elephant!
- Blog
- Upcoming Events
- News and Resources
- Job Board
- Forums
There are a lot of these so if want to add one to your RSS feed just look for the handy icon
and click to add to your feed.
- Twitter: Now things are getting all 2.0. We have a few Twitter feeds for you to follow
- @VIATeC: infrequent tweets covering things like event notices and details
- @Victoriatechjob: Who wants to wait for a weekly bulletin when you can get the latest job postings sent right to your feed in real time?
- @danwgunn: frequent daily updates on Dan's meetings with members, new ideas/events/services being considered, random musings and other stuff Dan thinks is interesting.
- Facebook: You social butterflies can become a Fan of VIATeC. We promise not to fill your News Feed with updates about Farms or MafiaWars but once in a while you will get advanced notice of major upcoming events.
- LinkedIn: The "all business" types can join the VIATeC Group on LinkedIn. To be honest, we plan to host future discussions in our cool new community forums but if you join this group we will send you the occasional nugget of info and you will have another way to "connect" with the tech community.
- Tip: don't just send those "I want to add you to my network" template messages when trying to connect with somebody…type a short personal note introducing yourself and why you want to connect.
- Flickr: You were at that cool VIATeC event the other day too? Check out our Flickr stream for pics of you and your friends.
- YouTube: We've had a YouTube channel for years. Members support us and they get the best stuff in return…that means members can access the seminar videos and other valuable stuff in our News and Resources Centre.
Would you like sprinkles on all these flavourful scoops of tasty information goodness?
Sprinkles will not actually be provided
