Victoria based music startup YogiTunes partners with Victoria Yoga Conference
Victoria yoga music and technology start up YogiTunes is partnering with the 5th annual Victoria Yoga Conference, which takes place on the weekend of February 10th-13th, 2017 at the University of Victoria.
YogiTunes will be showcasing performances from local DJ’s and artists as well as providing yoga playlists from the extensive YogiTunes catalogue. CEO Alex King Harris, who also performs as Rara Avis sees a natural synergy between yoga and music, which is borne out in the large number of yoga classes that now feature music. The Capital Region of Victoria is now home to more than 50 yoga studios and the Victoria Yoga Conference draws 600+ attendees with over 60 classes, live music and over 30 vendors and educators in the Wellness Market Place. The Conference begins with an internationally known keynote speaker, Danielle LaPorte on Friday night, followed by two full days of workshops for everyone from beginners to yoga teachers and concludes on BC's Family Day with family centered yoga and workshops by donation. The conference features west coast teachers and performers.
