Women in Tech Mastermind Series launches this October connecting women across Canada

Vancouver, BC (October 2, 2019): Women in Tech World (WiTWorld) — a national nonprofit that is dedicated to actionable steps to advance women in tech — is launching their mastermind series this October.

The Women in Tech Mastermind Series, in partnership with myCEO.ca, is a program designed to help women in the tech industry propel their careers forward and achieve their goals through mentorship.

“Tech is such a broad field that it’s easy to get very distracted by all the interesting and cool things that are out there,” says Colleen Wtorek, CTO, Corporate Strategist and WiTWorld Mastermind participant. The Mastermind series has helped Colleen narrow her focus and figure out what she wants to do, which is to create a company that does strategic planning and consulting for small to medium sized businesses.

By signing up, women get their own board of directors made up of experienced women in tech that guide members in the right direction, create a space for having open and honest discussions, and provide the encouragement and accountability needed for success. This is a truly unique experience meant to provide support and resources for women in the tech field.

"The calibre of women who are attracted to and participate in these masterminds is top-notch. If you are looking for a group of ladies to challenge you and help you take the next step in an established career, you have come to the right place," said Elyse Renouf, web developer and WiTWorld Mastermind participant.

The Women in Mastermind Series is based on the research the WiTWorld team published after hearing from over 1,600 voices across Canada, and is tailored specifically for women in tech at different stages in their careers. There is a founders/executive track and an aspiring leaders track for women in entry level and middle management. If you are one of a handful of women on your team, or in your company, this program allows you to feel supported, heard and ready to take your career in tech to the next level. Its virtual and online nature connects women in tech from not only across Canada, but internationally, and from communities small and large.

Registration for the Fall Women in Tech Mastermind Series closes on Friday, October 4th. Learn more at: https://womenintechworld.com/masterminds
