Senior Platform Administrator
$77,791.00 - $89,102.00 annually plus 9.9% Temporary Market Adjustment effective April 12, 2020

This is a hands-on highly technical position and we’re looking for someone with a strong technical background.
 

The BC Developers Exchange is looking for a seasoned IT professional to join our Platform Services team. As a part of this small, highly productive team you'll provide support to our many (over a hundred) platform customers by maintaining several shared services (applications we run that they consume); fostering community; expand your knowledge of our OpenShift container platform (OCP); supporting teams as they learn the `DevOps` way and helping chart the future path of the OCP.

Qualifications for this role include:
 

• Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science or related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of combined experience with managing complex projects, this combined experience must include:
  • Manage projects that had multiple impacts in the organization
  • Involvement of high degree of uncertainty in defining end objectives which often take place within a changing environment
  • Involvement of many teams & stakeholders

• Minimum 2 years experience leading a team of professionals, prioritizing, assigning, and defining work assignments.
• Experience designing enterprise services or maintaining enterprise systems;
• Experience developing technical policy and standards documents;
• Experience building and running Docker containers on Kubernetes (or OpenShift) based platforms;
• Knowledge of ALL or SOME of the following: application development, platform systems, container platforms, TerraForm and Ansible, Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
• Willingness to provide on call 24-hour support during peak periods.
