Senior Systems Support Analyst $65,252.73 - $74,396.51 annually plus 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment

Under the general direction of the Team Lead in Service BC Technical Support, the Senior Systems Support Analyst is responsible for providing technical and business support and guidance, as well as security, maintenance, operational, and administration support for Service BC applications. This role will work with two System Support Analysts as it corresponds to the technical infrastructure and operational requirements for Service BC DEV/Ops applications. The Senior Systems Support Analyst participates in project work and is the subject matter expert for business and technical and support and problem resolution in the areas of GARMS/PPOS, and other Service BC DEV/Ops applications; this includes: operations, security, production control, testing, quality assurance; revenue and systems policies, procedures, reports, documentation and controls, training and knowledge transfer. This role works closely with Service BC development teams, strategic teams, operational support teams, and external stakeholders. The Senior Systems Support Analyst also acts as the single point of contact for the collection, analysis, escalation and resolution of all requests and issues relating to supported Service BC applications. As Service BC applications evolve the Senior Systems Support Analyst will continue to provide platform specific technical and operational support for these applications.

Qualifications for this role include:
Information Technology (IT) or IT related discipline Degree or IT Diploma or IT Certificate or program completion, Grade 12 and five (5) years related experience.
Experience providing customer support services in an information technology environment or helping end users to use and understand computer hardware and software.
Experience in change management processes and project management methodologies and in particular Agile.
Experience in installation, configuration, maintenance and problem resolution of hardware, software, operating systems and network components with emphasis on Dev/Ops. This includes some experience in Docker, Kubernetes, automated testing with Newman, Postman and Jenkins, automation of server builds using Linux scripts, Paas.
Experience with open source applications, GitHub, Test APIs and API automation, Mender.
Experience with operational requirements for High Availability applications.
Preference may be given to candidates with more years of experience in any of the above.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in Open Shift and/or various Linux server software installations.
